Every Object Tells a Story!
Through the lens of the Big 6 Historical Concepts , Object Based Learning, Visual Thinking Strategies and See/ Think / Wonder pedagogies, our education programs are rooted in student-led inquiry, hands-on activities and supported independent exploration of our Museum.
The objects in our exhibitions offer insight into 20th century British Columbia, including local histories of resource extraction, labour activism, immigration, community building and cultural legacy.
As a social history Museum, we adapt themes for all ages through stories of resistance, resilience, belonging and exclusion, and how these themes are relevant to our lives today.
