A Collaboration Studio Exhibition

About

Cumberland Forest Reflections: 25 Years of the Cumberland Community Forest Society – is both an exhibition, and a process of “calling in” stories, art, archives, and artifacts related to the forest that will become part of the historic record of the work of our community.

  • Do you have any original artwork that was created for a Cumberland Forest fundraiser over the past 25 years?

You can send hi-res images to info@cumberlandforest.com OR arrange to bring your art in to be professionally photographed.

Contributions will be welcomed at the October 24th event and throughout the exhibition period October 2025 – April 2026.

Cumberland Forest Reflections is reflecting and dreaming. What does this project mean to you and your family? How has the forest impacted your journey in the Village? What are your hopes and dreams for the future forest? What story does the forest tell us?

ABOUT THE COLLABORATION STUDIO

The Collaboration Studio is a dynamic, participatory studio space within the Cumberland Museum & Archives designed to foster community-driven cultural production and engagement. Rooted in the belief that every visitor is a cultural contributor, the Collaboration Studio transforms the traditional museum experience by prioritizing individual lived experiences and inviting audiences to actively participate in shaping Cumberland’s cultural narrative. The studio activates projects that explore contemporary community issues through collaborative inquiry, creative challenges, and dialogue. Visitors of all ages and abilities can engage in tactile, thought-provoking activities that celebrate process over product, encouraging repeat visits and deepening relationships with the museum.

Projects are informed by local histories, artistic practices, and partnerships with schools, artists, and organizations, offering opportunities for storytelling, performance, and visual contributions. Anchored by values of accessibility, cultural safety, and inclusivity, the Collaboration Studio aspires to build a thriving, care-centered cultural community where the voices, knowledge, and skills of all participants enrich Cumberland’s evolving cultural histories.

Do you have a project of interest and are looking for a collaborative partnership? Tell us more.
