Who We Are
The Cumberland Museum has existed since 1969, when a series of objects and archival materials were first displayed in the old Comox Free Press building on Dunsmuir Avenue. In 1981, the Cumberland & District Historical Society was formed as a non-profit charitable organization to support a more permanent home.
Today, a dedicated Board of Directors continues to guide the organization, supporting staff-led projects, exhibitions, and programs that connect past and present.
